Realization of a comfortable and usable network

We are working on research to realize "comfortable" communication anytime, anywhere. In a network that has already become a lifeline, a major requirement is not only the ability to communicate, but also the ability to communicate comfortably. Even with the shift to broadband communication media, the use of rich content such as video is increasing, and network congestion degrades the quality of service (QoS). We are developing technology for congestion control to eliminate this congestion. In recent years, congestion control has become increasingly important due to the increasing number of wireless LANs in close proximity, such as tethering, portable WiFi routers, and V2X (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) communication.

Improvement of network QoS considering interference

  • QoS control of many nearby ad hoc networks in a social network-based mobile ad hoc network
    • Deployment control of many nearby mobile ad hoc networks
  • Congestion control for communication of many nearby M2M nodes
    • Congestion control in V2X communications such as vehicle-to-pedestrian and vehicle-to-vehicle for safety and security
  • Congestion control for many nearby wireless LANs
    • Measurement of network utilization at low cost

QoS improvement by using semantic communication

  • QoS improvement technology by using "move user for communication" control
    • QoS improvement by user movement (node movement) control in ad hoc networks
    • QoS improvement by " detour" routing control of unguided AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot)
  • QoS improvement using functional mobility control to move "servers" for clients
    • Multi-stage information processing architecture
    • Control of load balancing process by VM migration
